Impact

When people experiencing a housing crisis finally find a place to live, we ease that transition by quickly providing a wide array of free furniture and home goods, turning their new space into a home. Social workers care for their clients with limited resources - time and money both - so we support their work by being a one-stop-shop for client needs. Many of our neighbors also face transitions - downsizing, clearing out a relative's home, repurposing space, moving - so we support them by giving their cherished goods a second life serving those in need.

We measure our impact not just in goods given out, but in lives changed and memories cherished.

Who We Are

Our Fantastic Gracers
Our Mission

Until everyone has a home, Gracing Spaces will furnish houses to turn them into homes to bring hope to the people we serve.

We welcome volunteers to share the joy of gracing spaces with us.

We accept donated furniture and household items, refurbishing and giving them a second life.

We partner with families in Northern Virginia seeking a new start.

We invite you to join us and transform an empty apartment into a home!

Community Involvement

We partner with churches, synagogues, mosques, civic groups, and more who are eager to serve and give but don't know where to plug in.
