More Space for Gracing Spaces!

On August 27, we began operating in our new warehouse space!  Added to our original warehouse just across the parking lot, itโ€™s making things so much easier for both volunteers and clients.  Storage and deliveries that had been spread over several smaller spaces are now being accommodated between these two warehouses.

Keen to be out of our Public Storage units by September 1st (to avoid paying another monthโ€™s rent), much extra volunteer time was needed.  Careful planning, creative design, and lots of physical labor helped make the best use of each (expensive) square foot of space.

Consolidating and moving from our previous smaller storage units has paid off – the organization is simply marvelous!  Spaces are designated for all our different inventory, with clear aisles and work spaces.  The usual flexibility and teamwork are especially evident now – each of our departments are taking stock of what we have, making adjustments, and going with the flow.

As we settle into autumn, our new space, and brisk pace of operation, we remember who weโ€™re serving and why this mission is so important. One of the clients served this week sent us this note – โ€œIโ€™m so excited and grateful for all you all are doing. I hope in the future I could be a volunteer.โ€
