New Year, New Growth, Deep Roots

Greetings and Happy New Year to all of you! Holiday time for rest was a blessing, but it’s a joy to get back to the work we all love, gather as a community, and reflect on an incredible year of growth in service to our community.
In 2025 we filled 676 requests for help from our community partners, working with 286 different social workers and church partners. Together, we assisted 1,957 people with their household and clothing needs (915 adults and 1042 children).
With nearly a 40% increase last year in home goods provided to neighbors in need, we anticipate an even busier 2026. We now have about 65 regular volunteers, donating over 15,000 hours of their time to keep this ministry thriving. We’re blessed that our community of donors is also growing, providing financial support as well as home good donations.
As we began our first work week of 2026, we were reminded of Gracing Spaces’ deep roots in more than two decades of service…Ruth, one of our founders, added some beautiful pitchers and her colorful handmade potholders to our shelves of kitchen goods ready for distribution. We know her warm and caring example will continue to inspire us and the neighbors we serve for years to come!
